Thankful Thursday

Thank you Rhondi for hosting Thankful Thursday for us each week!

I am so thankful the election is over!

I know it is a privilege to live in a country where I have a voice! I ALWAYS vote. I don't vote as a permanent mail-in voter, because I love going to the polls! I read & study my sample ballot & try to stay informed.

BUT...

I can't remember when I have been so annoyed with political commercials on TV, political flyers stuffed into my mailbox, and constant phone calls all day long!

I can't say I'm thrilled by the outcome, but I am going to support the new leaders with prayer and the positive knowledge that our country and its citizens are still the best!

Whew! Chris

  1. I couldn't agree with you more. I am so glad to see the hype and marketing of this election over. Now, we just settle in to prayer for our country.

  3. Chris, your words mirror mine in every way. I am thankful to be an American and I will always support our leaders of this country. I wish it could be true of all Americans. God bless America.

    Hugs, Jeanne

  4. I didn't post my Thankful Thursday post until 11pm and didn't read any of them until after I posted and have to laugh because you and I were thinking the same thing. We are good American citizens so of course we will support our leader. Hopefully the new administration will work well as a team for the good of our country.

  6. I wasn't able to get in a Thankful Thursday post at all because I have not been feeling well. I'm so glad you voiced everything I felt, probably with better words than I could have found. So I'm Thankful for you and my blogger friends.

  7. Hi Chris!

Amen! I'm glad the election is over too! I guess it's our job to pray for our new leader and his administration now. I hope there's something wonderful that comes to the people of our country in the future.
And yes, it's too bad we don't live closer girl! Wouldn't we have fun?! Where abouts did you live in Ohio? I'm originally from Toledo but have lived in the Columbus area for about 30 yrs now.
    Have a great week Chris!!
    Hugs, Sherry

  9. Chris,
What a roller coaster ride that was! This country is AMERICA and those at the top would lose that too if they ruined it, so I don't think they are 'that' dumb! I think things will work out!

A lot of americans needed a wake-up call for their overspending and risky business practices. I hope the recovery will be less traumatic!

I for one am going to keep more of an 'eye' on what the politicians are doing and write more letters and emails (like I used to way back in the day).
