Dreaming of...

Saw this "kitchen stand" on the Source Collection website.  This is exactly what I have been looking for!

I have one of those walls that needs something. This is it! I even love the vignette they have created in the photo.

All for just $2,500...sigh.

My name is Chris, I am a furniture junkie.  :{)

  1. What a fabulous piece! I wonder if you could accomplish the look by finding a looooong sofa type table or long skinny farmer's table and building a hutch on top using bead board for the backing... does anyone in your family like to make things like this?
Really cool idea for a long empty wall!

  4. That's a great piece but what a price! Ae you looking at thrift shops and vintage places, even on Craigslist - you never know what might pop up.

Cris, I have a beautiful French table which has been for sale in my booth at SuzAnna's, see it here -

Wish you were closer as I'd let you have it for a song + plus just a few $$$$'s!!! It has the original finish and a useful shelf on the bottom, with little French iron casters on the legs, as well as the back board. Maybe not as long as this one in your pic but it might have worked for your space.

Meanwhile I'm still thinking I might just have to bring it home and find a place for it as it's an antique - but goodness knows where!

P.S. I'll join you at that meeting - "My name is Mary..........................and I have the same problem"

  5. Sherry, Thanks for the ideas! DH is very capable of helping me transform something. I'll be looking around.

Vee, LOL! I'm the typo queen. If I don't have spell check (or forget to use it), I'm in trouble.

Mary, your table is gorgeous. I hope you take it home. It deserves to be loved!

  6. Oh my goodness Chris this is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous!! I too love Sherry's idea and bet you can come up with something just as lovely for a fraction of the cost.

I can't recall the name of the show, but HGTV carried a wonderful program I really did enjoy. They would take a dream room and match it on a budget! It really taught me that with a little effort and planning you can get the look of expensive and save lots of money. :) Be sure and share with us just what you come up with. I know it will be grand. :)

Enjoy a lovely rest of the week dear Chris.

    Smiles♥
